Team Sports Contract Highlights

Here at Team Sports we strive for excellence in the presence of talent! Take a look below at some of our contract Hightlights.

Larry Brown
The Super Bowl XXX MVP signed a $12,500,000 contract with a $3.5 million signing bonus in February 1996 with the Oakland Raiders. This was one of the largest contracts ever signed by an unrestricted defensive back at that time in NFL history.

Michael Booker

Michael was a 1997 1st round pick (#11). He signed a 5-year $8,100,000 contract with the Atlanta Falcons, 63% of which was fully guaranteed, an unprecedented number for a rookie draft pick.

Antowain Smith

Antowain was a 1997 1st round pick (#23). He signed a 5-year $5,125,000 contract with the Buffalo Bills which included a $1,750,000 signing bonus and unprecedented Escalator Clause in his 5th year. This unique escalator clause was the first of its kind ever negotiated with the Bills in their franchise history.

Lincoln Kennedy

Lincoln, a 1993 1st round pick (#9), signed a 3-year $3,018,000 with the Atlanta Falcons. Lincoln later signed a 6 year, 35.6 million dollar contract in 2003, which at that time made him one of the top paid linemen in NFL history. As of 2005, Lincoln had been paid more signing bonus / guaranteed money than any other player in the history of the Raiders franchise.

Albert Lewis
4 time All-Pro, signed a 4-year $7,000,000 contract as an Unrestricted Free Agent with the Oakland Raiders in 1994 of which 50% was guaranteed against skill and injury (such a guarantee was almost unheard of at that time). This contract made Albert one of the highest paid cornerbacks in NFL history.

Cody Carlson
Cody signed a 3-year $10,000,000 contract with the Houston Oilers in 1994. This was the first seven figure deal in Unrestricted Free-Agency history (as per the new CBA ratified in 1993).

Chris Sanders
After only his 3rd NFL season, Team Sports negotiated a 9,566,000 5 year extension which included a $3,250,000 signing bonus and escalators that could push his five year total close to $20,000,000.

Barron Wortham
Barron signed a 4-year, $8.4 million deal after only his third year in the league. This was exceptionally high as Barron was a 6th pick and was coming off his rookie contract.
